An honest review, first time here, would visit again

"Currently spending 9 nights here, arrived from UK. Hardly any English here, which is fine. Dining times are quite an eye opener, it’s a fight for survival, lots of pushing and general lack of manners and courtesy amongst the majority of fellow hotel guests, had to park my manners for this holiday and join in, it was the only way! We had booked a standard family room, on arrival we were not happy, please don’t look at the photos of the rooms when you book, the bathrooms do not reflect the rooms unless you book a deluxe room, where the rooms are a much better standard and bathrooms are spacious and modern, unlike the rooms where you could be sat on the toilet whilst washing you feet at the same time! Reception staff very helpful and the dedicated girls behind the reception are exceptionally helpful & friendly. Hotel clean, no complaints there, no fights for sunbeds (I think we’d have lost ?) the sunbeds are plentiful with the 7 pools on offer. No entertainment during the day or evening or kids club, which suited us. Poole are not deep and family friendly. Beach is a walk over the road with a lovely beach bar included in the AI provision. Varied selection of food, think it would be better laid out ‘ presented but good nethertheless. Drinks, orange ‘juice’ and other said juices quite awful & sugary, the white & rose perfectly drinkable, and cocktails, I little sweet on my opinion but drinkable and yuy can ask for them the exclude any ingredients so they can make to your taste. Beer on tap also fine. Restaurant staff work hard and efficiently, you can always find a table. The rooftop bar is lovely, and the pool, we particularly enjoyed this area as well as the beach bar. In summary, the hotel is huge, apparently it’s a collection of 15 former hotels, hence so many pools, but it doesn’t have that big hotel feeling, lots of shops close by for any essentials. In areas the hotel does need attention and slightly outdated in places but you can see that this will be a gradual work in progress due to the sheer expanse of it. One negative is the music noise, you can really escape it, it’s in until 2am, it didn’t really bother me and we were close, and it was out of choice we slept with the balcony doors open. The reports of groups of kids holidaying & vomiting/urinating in the pool, I did not witness any of this or any such unruly behaviour. I would recommend bringing your own towels to avoid the towel levy, and if it bothers you I would check you have a renovated room, we paid an additional £550 to upgrade for 4 of us for 8 nights, which I don’t regret, we have 2 spacious bathrooms, and a sea view. Would recommend & visit again."
