5 / 5"Great hotel with cool entertainment events and friendly staff. We recommend a family bungalow with a sea view."Eredeti vélemény a TripAdvisoron »
5 / 5"We had a wonderful holiday at Iberostar Waves Creta Panorama & Mare. The weather was absolutely beautiful during our stay. We were two adults and two children, although one of the children was 15 and was therefore considered an adult. We arrived at the hotel on june 24, 2026 at 5:00 a.m., but we were able to check in shortly after 12:00 p.m. Our wristbands were provided before breakfast started, so we already had access to almost everything the hotel had to offer while waiting for our room. Our accommodation was a bungalow located near a quiet seawater pool. The room had not been renovated, but it was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. There was one large bed and two smaller beds. One of the smaller beds had an older and rather uncomfortable mattress, but after we asked reception for an additional mattress, everything was arranged by the time we returned to our room that evening. The refrigerator was empty, but the hotel provided us with a large bottle of water. During our stay, we could also ask for water at the lobby bar, and it was provided free of charge. It is worth mentioning that the hotel served water in glass bottles, which was a nice touch. In general, the atmosphere was very peaceful. However, on two nights we were disturbed by noise and knocking on the door of the neighboring room. Eventually, I had to go outside and politely ask them to keep the noise down.Food & RestaurantsThe food at the restaurants was delicious and very varied. Despite the hotel being large and quite full, we never experienced long queues. The air conditioning worked throughout the hotel. Even so, the climate in Crete felt quite similar to what we are used to in Moldova, and we did not experience the intense heat you can sometimes feel in Turkey.During our seven-day stay, we managed to visit all the à la carte restaurants. We also celebrated our daughter’s birthday at the Lavris Grill Restaurant, which offered an incredible view, excellent food, and wonderful service. The desserts were, in some cases, truly luxurious.Hotel Grounds & PoolsThe hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with an abundance of flowers and trees everywhere. The beaches are arranged in several small coves, which makes them more comfortable when there are waves. However, we felt that some areas could still use a little more development. In particular, the main beach gave the impression of something that had been started but not completely finished. The water was extremely clean. Special water shoes made entering the sea more comfortable, although it was also perfectly possible to enter without them. There are numerous pools throughout the resort. In addition to the main heated seawater pool, there are several other pools with both seawater and fresh water. The water park was a big favorite with the children. Adults were also well catered for, with a warm pool right next to the water park and plenty of comfortable sun loungers where parents could relax while keeping an eye on their children. The location is simply perfect. This is a place where you can truly feel happy! The staff were very friendly, attentive, and always willing to accommodate guests’ requests. There is also another five-star Iberostar hotel right next to the resort. Guests can walk around its grounds and enjoy the sea there as well, which makes the overall area feel even larger. We especially enjoyed the nature and the flowers throughout the resort. There are so many of them, and everything is very well maintained.A Few Things That Could Be ImprovedThere were only a few minor things that we felt could be improved:1. Food Track 2 staff: The two young ladies working at Food Track 2, where coffee and ice cream were served near the water park, were somewhat inattentive. They seemed more focused on talking to each other and did not always notice when a queue was forming at the counter.2. Lunch selection: Since the hotel also operates on a half-board concept, the main restaurant was reduced in size by about half at lunchtime, and the variety of food was slightly smaller. Nevertheless, everything was still tasty.3. Distance from the airport: The transfer from the airport took more than 1.5 hours, partly because of the winding mountain roads.Overall ImpressionWe would definitely return to this hotel, provided we can find reasonable prices. We would give this hotel 5 stars if all the rooms were renovated to the same standard as those in the central building. Apart from that, everything was excellent!Keep up the great work, and thank you for a wonderful holiday!"Eredeti vélemény a TripAdvisoron »
5 / 5"We have had a lovely holiday! It is our first time experiencing all inclusive too! We were warmly welcomed in the early hours of the morning. The room was fine for our needs- very comfortable beds (even the camp bed for my daughter). Be careful with the shower - it suddenly bursts out some hot water randomly! We couldn't get the air-conditioning to work when we first arrived - you just need to open and close the patio door to wake up the system! Room was cleaned every day - electronics buttons to say if you want it cleaned or not!Food was lush! So much choice and themed nights but always something the fussy eaters! Desserts were incredible too! It was mine and muy husband's birthdays whilst we were there and we told the head waiter - we had a cake made for us both, roses on tge table and a bottle of fizzy wine!! And the staff sang us happy birthday! We tried two of the restaurants- they were a nice change but out favourite place to eat was the main buffet. Sometimes they have welcome drinks when you arrive (sometimes for breakfast too!) Couldn't figure out there timetabling around this as it was quite random! Tip - check out the app on the TV for info - we didn't switch it on until the end of out holiday & found some useful info! Lots of places to eat during the day. Most pools have a bar but not all do food. 2 pools are chlorinated the rest salt water (not great for us as my daughter gets sore from the salt and they don't seem as cold as the other wheh you want to cool down! Swim up bar is pretty cool! .There is also a really nice main bar which opens in the evenings- they do proper, lush cocktails (much better than the ones you get during the day - although they are nice!) And they have entertainment every night in addition to the main theatre. The animation team have been amazing. We didn't do the day activities as my daughter wasn't interested but she loved the evening entertainment- considering they aren't professional dancers they put on a good show! And Tony Macaroni is very funny. They have a show every night at 9.30 and they have cocktails on arrival, and a mini disco for kids at 8.30 (we only walked past that as my daughter is too old for that now but it looked fun!). There a couple of coves you can go to as well - one has a beach bar and sunbeds to hire but it's not part of the hotel so you have to pay. The other coves you can use sunbeds. The bar at Lottie watersports is for the hotel next door so you have to pay for that (if you're all inclusive). We got snorkels and that was nice. Beaches don't have lifeguards but they do have flags to tell you how the sea is.We did parasailing and paddleboarding at lottie watersports which was great fun.We also took the magic train into town - you just turn up and pay. €5 for adults, €3 for kids (return). It was a nice few hours out - nice sandy beache, souvenir shops, bars, restaurants etc. (They also do tours but we didn't do this). If you're going to book an excursion, it's worth going there to an independent company- loads cheaper than what Jet2 were offering for the same thing (we went to Heraklion, palace of knossos and the museum- very busy, very hot!!). Hard to get a sunbed round pool - lots of sunbed hoggers (signs say staff remove towels left before 9am but they don't) but we found a lovely place on the grass overlooking the sea - loads of sunbeds - we just set up there and then wander to whatever pool/sea we want in-between! And not hogging a bed because there's loads free! And it's nice and quiet. Staff are friendly here. We did use the spa (the spa people are always wandering around getting people to book). It was...ok...I have certainly been in nicer rooms. The description in the leaflet of the treatment wasn't clear so check with them what you are actually booking. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And I will definitely be doing an all-inclusive holiday again!!There is a well equipped little shop. There's also a store selling cloth/sandals but the lady in there just scowled at us and stood right next to me, staring when I was having a look so we stayed away from there. There is a lovely little supermarket a short walk down the road too - a great place for souvenirs! A"Eredeti vélemény a TripAdvisoron »
